The project consists of the development of a small single-family house located on a plot with a steep slope in the seaside neighbourhood of San Andrés, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The house is spread over two floors. The main entrance is located on the ground floor, as well as the parking for two vehicles and other areas attached to the house, such as a laundry area and facilities. The main programme of the house is on the upper floor, with two bedrooms and a large terrace that allows you to enjoy the views of the sea, as well as the neighbouring beach of Las Teresitas.
Its simple architecture opens up to the landscape through large windows that collect the light of the environment, introducing it into the interior of the house. Thanks to these glass panels, the border between interior and exterior is diluted, incorporating the distant landscape as part of the project.
The proposed materials are simple. White mortars, natural wood, glass and basalt stone, together with the exposed concrete, create the desired image of the project.
Several endemic specimens of vegetation are incorporated into the project, in search of a local identity for the proposal.
