The project is the result of a competition of ideas to build a Cultural Centre in La Concepción district in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The old town of Santa Cruz, future cultural area of the city, is crossed by Barranco de Santos, a gorge that unties the activities that take place in the district.

We propose the revitalization of this area of the city by bringing together both sides of the gorge. This should result in new urban routes and new possibilities of connections between the existing cultural spaces.

The project is generated by folding the urban route proposed in the plot, organizing the functional programme and creating a patio as a reminiscence of the traditional architecture of the city’s old town.

A meeting point, a place to stay and to walk that incorporates the tower of La Concepción church and the Anaga mountains into the proposal.
