The proposal is the result of a competition of ideas organized by Granadilla de Abona Town Hall, whose aim is to create a new space for leisure and culture in San Isidiro area.

The project is designed taking two aspects into consideration. First, the location that defines the proposed morphology; and second, the functional programme that generates new urban routes.

The intervention area, future urban square, folds and cracks as a volcanic fault and organizing a surface that enables the localization of the functional programme on both sides of the square. This way we free the surface of the square, placing the activities under it and we make constructed form dissapear.

We propose a square that works as foyer for the future urban park of the municipality, looking for the best views to Montaña Roja and El Médano. And the sea in the background.
