The assignment consists in refurbishing an antique nursery school, that fell into disuse, and its enclosed square, for becoming the new Cultural Centre in the Buzanada neighbourhood -municipality of Arona, south of Tenerife.

The existing building’s characteristics allow us to adapt the functional programme without substantially modifying the building’s structure or morphology. Thus, the proposal includes various multipurpose halls, an administrative area and a conference room. They will equip the Cultural Centre with the necessary for meeting neighbours’ needs.

The enclosed square plays a key role in the proposal, as it is configured as a flexible space for hosting different municipal activities.

The square has space for practising outdoor sports, and also rest areas and shaded areas.
